3D/2N Amazon Private Lake Fly Fishing Trip in Pucallpa

About the Amazon Private Lake in Pucallpa

The city of Pucallpa is located in the Peruvian Amazon, just a 40-minute flight from Lima. Situated near the Ucayali River at 154 meters above sea level, it is one of the main gateways to the Amazonian lowlands of Peru.

This protected lagoon covers approximately 15 hectares and is surrounded by 100 hectares of private land, creating a rich natural habitat where visitors may observe monkeys, deer, capybaras, armadillos, otters, and a wide variety of wild birds.

The lagoon originated from a natural water source known locally as an aguajal, along with natural channels that fill the area during the rainy season. Over time, the water was carefully dammed to create a sustainable fishing environment, helping promote sport fishing in the region while protecting local species and their habitat.

The Experience

We will pick you up early in the morning at Pucallpa Airport and begin a 40-minute private transfer through the city and surrounding countryside until we arrive at a comfortable apartment located next to the lagoon, where we will stay for the next couple of days.

During the trip, we will fish around the lagoon from the shore and/or by boat, allowing us to explore different areas and increase our chances of catching a variety of Amazonian species.
