ANDEAN TROUT FLY FISHING TRIP IN LIMA
Travel out of Lima into the andes mountains searching for a monster trout on the rivers and lagoons of the highlands

INFORMATION:
Canta is located at approximately 3 hours by car in a northeast direction from the city of Lima, in the middle of the Andes mountains at 2800 m.a.s.l. This area is known for its beautiful natural landscapes and great biodiversity, it is one of the few places near Lima where we can find a diverse variety of birds that include the Andean Condor, Flamingos and Huashuas (Andean Goose), and many mammals such as the Vizcacha, Deer and Andean Foxes, but mainly monsters trouts for sportfishing. It´s also possible to see during the entire journey many different archaeological sites from the thousand-year-old cultures of the Chillón river.
THE EXPERIENCE:
We will depart from your chosen accomodation in Lima, where our journey to the Andes begins. We will stay in a beautiful lodge on the banks of the river surrounded by the imposing mountains of the Andes. It is important to let the body acclimatize to the altitude, so the first day we will fish only in the surroundings of the lodge and have an early rest. The next day we will get up early in the morning and start our trip to the lagoons, at approximately 4600 meters above sea level and be able to appreciate the beautiful landscape of this wild area (oxygen and mate de coca to support the altitude will be available). We will spend the day fishing in a lagoon of crystal clear water known for its huge trout up to 7kg!. At the end of the day we will return to the hotel for a well-deserved rest. The next morning we can get up a little later, go fishing in the morning in the river or visit an archaeological site and then start the return trip to Lima.
EQUIPMENT:
This trip is for spinning or flyfishing technique. Feel free to bring your own rod, reel and equipment of your choice.
