About the Paracas National Reserve

Paracas National Reserve, located just three hours south of Lima by car, is known for its dramatic desert landscapes, rich marine life, and exceptional biodiversity.

 

This unique coastal reserve is home to a large colony of sea lions, as well as Humboldt penguins, dolphins, flamingos, and a wide variety of seabirds. It is also a destination of great historical and cultural importance, once inhabited by the ancient Paracas culture between approximately 800 BCE and 100 BCE.

The Experience

We will depart from your chosen accommodation in Paracas Bay before sunrise and head to the harbor, where we will board a local fishing boat and set off toward the best fishing spots.

 

Throughout the trip, we will fish along the beautiful and hidden cliffs of the Paracas National Reserve coastline, exploring productive waters surrounded by dramatic desert and ocean landscapes.

 

This experience also offers the chance to witness Paracas’ remarkable biodiversity, with frequent sightings of sea lions, seabirds, and Humboldt penguins. And, with a bit of luck, you may catch and release exciting South Pacific species such as rockfish, sea bass, and flounder.
