About Pucusana Artisanal Fishing Bay

The Artisanal Fishing Harbor of Pucusana is located just one hour south of Lima. This traditional fishing village is home to many local fishermen who continue to make their living using artisanal fishing techniques in the rich Pacific waters along the coast of Lima.

 

During the visit, we will have the chance to observe an abundance of marine life, including seabirds, Humboldt penguins, dolphins, sea otters and sea lions, often seen hunting and feeding throughout the area.

The Experience

Your fishing adventure begins with a convenient pickup from your accommodation in Lima. After a scenic one-hour drive south, we will arrive at the beautiful bay of Pucusana, where our fishing boat will be waiting.

 

Once on the water, we will use a dynamic combination of live bait, jigging, and casting techniques to target the bay’s diverse marine ecosystem. This gives you the best chance of hooking into exciting Pacific species, including fish you may have never caught before.

 

To finish the experience, you will enjoy a hands-on ceviche lesson, learning how to prepare one of Peru’s most iconic dishes using your own freshly caught fish.

  • This trip is for jigging, light trolling and casting fishing technique. we can always fish with bait too. Fishing equipment is included by Go Fishing Peru but feel free to bring your own rod, reel and equipment of your choice.
