About the Paracas National Reserve

Paracas National Reserve, located just three hours south of Lima by car, is known for its dramatic desert landscapes, rich marine life, and exceptional biodiversity.

 

This unique coastal reserve is home to large colonies of sea lions, as well as flamingos, Humboldt penguins, dolphins, and a wide variety of seabirds and marine wildlife.

 

It is also a destination of great historical and cultural importance, once inhabited by the ancient Paracas culture between approximately 800 BCE and 100 BCE.

The Experience

We will depart before sunrise from your chosen accommodation in Paracas and begin a two-hour 4x4 journey through an impressive desert landscape, with no phone or internet signal in this remote area.

 

This is a chance to truly disconnect and experience the wild nature of this untouched part of the world, fishing in complete solitude with no tourists for many kilometers around.

 

Throughout the day, we will explore different fishing spots along the coastline, stopping only for a lunch break. During this time, you will learn how to prepare a delicious traditional ceviche using your own freshly caught fish.

  • This trip is for spinning and surfcasting shore fishing (wader is needed). Feel free to bring your own rod, reel, wader and equipment of your choice.
